I've been busy w/ work lately. Soorry that I haven't been able to post lately but here is my latest character that I've modeled and rigged...and textured...and lit...you get point. His name is Charlie (a name given by a special friend of mine) haha...

The Crown...

The beginning stages of the Crown. I absolutely loved the Witch Kings from Lord of the Rings. This is no where near their talents, but I wanted a "bone" ish look to this crown. Its a start. lets see where I go from here =)

So yes...this rig is quite done. I'm just touching up on cleaning up the file. One thing I was not pleased with was the eyebrow hair. Call is laziness or what you mean, I know how to do it, and now I wish I had taken just a bit more time modeling the hair properly haha. Regardless, its a that is fun to animate.
For my next "human character" assignments, I will definently put hair. Check out my next Maya project. I'm fairly excited about this one more then ever. I found myself working on its concepts over this rig project I was doing.

So here's the deal. I had a industry professional check out my blog and I asked him for his honest feedback. His name, I wont say, but he gave me some goood advise from which one really hit me. Which is, post things 'you' like to do. I have been drawing a lot lately, which is amazing, but animation/rigging is my passion! I absolutely love to animate and rig. I cannot display character setup daily, BUT I can animate short clips and post these up!...So hopefully from now on, i will post animations yay!

ew, blood!

I drew this random character today, on top. I decided not to finish the coloring on it but submit what I had. But before doing so, I wanted to try this brush that I have, so I added some blood on his apron (i dont usually ever put blood on things or draw things relating to it lol) but what the heck! The middle drawing is something I did in my sketchbook and the cowboy is well, I want to practice drawing in Photoshop so =) so its a practice drawing =)

I've somewhat finished the head modeling. I still have to do the hair. The shirt is a rough, still have to tweak it ... a lot needs to be done so stay tuned =)
Eyes are also a Ramp shader - nothing special

I have started modeling my Janitor character and I usually keep drawing him in random poses. This helps me develop the short film idea, and also gives me an idea how to model/rig this character. On top are three cool dudes!
